Langkawi Trip - Departure

This year 2008 is Visit Kedah year. I was not aware of this till i saw the streamer in Kuala Kedah Jetty. Last weekend was a public holiday for Penang. It was the birthday of the Penang State Governor. So, hubby and his friends plan a 2 days 1 night trip to Langkawi. They wanted a budget holiday so they found out it was cheaper to travel by car to Kuala Kedah and to take a ferry from there to Langkawi.

We started our journey very very early. Cos those guys were afraid they couldn't wake up the next morning so they didn't sleep at all. We had to reach Kuala Kedah by 6.30 a.m. The first ferry will depart at 7.30 a.m. So, this was their plan: To watch midnight movie , then had supper then start our journey to Kuala Kedah. Me and hubby didn't join them for the midnight movie because i still need to do my last session of dialysis.

When they arrived to pick me up, it was only 2.00 a.m. Hubby was late again cos he accidentally fall asleep, i keep on calling him but no one pick up. I got no choice but to call his mum to wake him up. So paiseh to disturb ppl sleeping at this hour. Hubby arrive at my house half an hour later.

Since they are 8 person plus me, we travel in two cars. It was still early so they went to Line Clear to have their supper. After supper, they drive slowly to Kuala Kedah.

We reach Kuala Kedah around 5 something i guess. We parked the car and head towards the jetty. At the Kuala Kedah jetty , we signed up for van rental, hotel and island hopping. Actually we had book a van and 2 rooms. But the travel agent in Kuala Kedah offer us a better price for the hotel room so we book from him instead. The travel agent guy told us, that not many ppl travel to Langkawi nowadays. So they had canceled the earlier ferry at 7.30 a.m to 8.00 a.m.

Finally...................

Phew~~ Finally......finally i finished blogs hopping...from one blog to another. I was away last weekend for vacation and when i came back my neighbour which is my aunt still have not settled the phone bill.. We are sharing the broadband so this means i won't get to online.

Away from the cyber world make me realize my blog very the tak ada laku lor...I didn't update for eight days oso nobody ask why... haih...very the dissapointed.. You all very cham lo~~ Didn't miss me at all~~You all never think something bad will happen to me hor? What if i go~~ liao? And you all missed my funeral ...i will come back to haunt you guys for the pek kim lo~~ You all know what i did first when i manage to online this evening? I go to you guys blog and read all the post that i missed last few days lei~~ Some i didn't leave comment but i swear i do read lo..... You all very lucky have reader/friend like me lo.......

My happy feet!

The Garra Rufa fish finally arrived in Penang last month. I was eager to try and been thinking of someone to try it with me. I was pestering hubby to tryout with me but he refuse. I know one person that will try it out with me - Calynn.....hahaha... she is one of my companion when it comes to spa and massage..

Calynn dated me for lunch, yesterday. She was asking me is there any nice food in New World Park. Instead of telling her which nice place to had our lunch, i told her about the fish spa. She say she wanted to try it too so without hesitation she drove to New World Park.

We didn't had our lunch first instead we headed straight to:

We went in to check out the price. They had 2 sessions, for the 30 minutes session is RM 22 whereas the 40 minutes session is RM 28. We try the 30 minutes session. They are having a few promotion this month. One of them if you are a Citibank card holder, you get 15% discount. Both me and Calynn are Citibank card holder so we are entitled for this offer. After paying, we were told to wash our feet first . Then they give us a mini towel to dry our feet.

Then we proceed to our therapy.. It was ticklish at the beginning after that you will feel like there's a vibration to your feet. It does not hurt at all. And after a while you will be totally enjoying the therapy.

After 30 minutes, we lift up our feet and dry it with the mini towel. I feel my feet, and they are actually softer. This is awesome! Don't believe me? Go try it yourself then! Happy feet is located next to Nyonya Cafe in New World Park. Oh ya! Another promotion they had this month is they are giving one session FREE for those birthday in July, this is means i will be getting a free session on my birthday.

Crap Drivers!

I was at my hubby's fren place yesterday. Then there was this honking non-stop downstairs on the junction. So my hubby and his fren went to the balcony to check it out. And this is what they saw!From the look, the bus should be across the junction trying to make a right turn instead..it end up heading straight... walau... and see those cars..i tot they should let the bus reversed and slowly turn to the right. But they are so selfish, and take turns by pass the bus. And they didn't even bother bout the traffic lights.

Finally, a few motorist came to the rescue.....

Pizza Hut: Starzbites Sausage Pizza

Have you try the Pizza Hut: Starzbites Sausage Pizza? I try it the other day... It was sausages in Chicago and New York style in a unique 16-bites star-shaped pizza. And at the center you can choose any topping of your desire from Family Favourite to Supremes.Well, it was so so only. The sausages are those normal "ciplak" sausage we can get it at the supermarket, jus that they top it with different sauce ... and the portion is slightly smaller but cost more than the normal regular pizza. Still prefer the normal pizza...

I didn't realize they miss out one ingredient in the pizza until i finish eating then only i saw it in the poster. It was suppose to have black sesame seeds at the end of each bites.

Faux lashes fever!

So many faux lashes... but not mine.......It's my sis, she is addicted ever since she came back from Taiwan... lol... I still remember the first time when i recommend her to faux lashes and she told me she don't need one...Ya, she is right...she don't need one but many la....hahaha..... A bit the envy with her lo... cos i got no chance to try on all these faux lashes yet. Because i always wore specs. There was a time, i wear contacts almost the whole day except when i was asleep. But i've got infection, and my eye doctor ( the cute eye specialist from Lam Wah Ee who turn out to be a gay) warn me not to wear contact lenses anymore. He told me there is this white thingy surrounding the rim of my eye ball, if the white thingy grew deeper..i might lose my vision.......this is serious man......... So i stop wearing contact lenses..... not for long.... because you know.........all women oso "ai shooi"...... so i change from monthly lenses to daily lenses and i only wear lenses for certain occassion e.g dinner, clubbing....... How i hope there will be a costume party somewhere which i need to attend so i got the chance to wear those very "outstanding" lashes.........

Chef Julia - JoZe's favourite "thong sui"

"Thong sui" means chinese dessert or syrup in english. These two "thong sui" are JoZe's favourite:Sweet wheat broth or better known as " Gandum" in hokkien. The ingredients are: wheat pearls, water, pandan leave, sugar or palm sugar, coconut milk and salt. She didn't cook this herself la... she is not that hardworking... she ate this somewhere in Mt Erskine

As for this one the black glutinous rice broth with coconut milk or better known as "bee koh moi" in hokkien. She bought this one from the Jelutong Market at night. The stall sells different type "thong sui". Unfortunately JoZe say this "bee koh moi" was not good enough ...she commented it was too watery ...she like it thick..

Do you like "thong sui"? What "thong sui do you like? I personally like those with coconut milk..
