Moon Cakes or Packaging?

Hungry Ghost month has come to the end, this means we (the chinese) will be celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival soon. Mid- Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day on the 8th month of the lunar calendar, we will be celebrating the festival on the 14th of September on Gregorian Calendar.

Traditionally, on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, eat moon cakes and carrying bright lit lantern. Some family even burn incense in reverence to deities like Chang'e.

As for my family, we don celebrate at all. Especially all of us had grown up, and we don play lanterns anymore. As for moon cakes eating, we had start eating it before the day. (We had started eating moon cakes now). Talking about moon cakes, the packaging now is very nice, but those with nice packaging usually are expensive. The moon cakes from the pictures above are from Hotel Equatorial. The one with fork and knife are gifts from my sister's company, they cost around RM 100 +++. As for the mini ones, my sis bought it as a gift to her friends...that cost Rm38 for each.

I was wondering, if you buy moon cakes, you buy it for the taste of the moon cakes or the nice packaging. Personally, for me i like the packaging more than the moon cakes... How about you?

Back to Old Skool!

Loving my new glasses...so old skool! Look like a nerd?

I get my new glasses at a great bargain from A-Look in Prangin Mall. And the best part is i get to collect my glasses in 1-hour time. Usually will have glasses done in V-Care optics but dunno why hor, the V-Care optics in Prangin Mall are all closed down. Wearing black frame glass is a trend now, my red frame is like so out~~ But the optician said that my power jus slightly different, so i can still keep my red frame for home use. Actually, i wanted a bigger frame like this:But when i tried a few frame similar like this, my fren said i look like the specky gal from scooby doo and the Lam Ah Chan..... Ahaha..

*Updated* What happen to Malaysia?

Ten more days will be the Malaysia 51st Independence Day. But those that stay in Malaysia, did you realize this:

1) No slogan for this year Independence Day

2) No new advertisement or old advertisement on the tv. I dunno about tv1, tv2,tv3 ,ntv7 and 8tv la. Other channel in Astro like AEC, Wah Lai Toi...dun have lo...usually they will show those Petronas 1, but none lo. Maybe Astro's Teams wanna boycott them... I jus saw the ads from a bank and Petronas on TV3 and NTV 7. And the news on the local TV station is all about politics. The politics in Malaysia is such a mess now.

3) I dunno about other state, usually in the month of August 70% of the vehicle will display those mini Malaysia flag on their vehicle. But this year i think, i only saw a few cars sticking it.

Usually one month before the National Day, we can see how Patriotism Malaysian are... But this year I can't even sense that our National Day is just 10 days ahead. How sad!

A Night of Mayhem

Last weekend, i had a wonderful reunion with 17 CGLian of 99. We rented a room at Hydro Majestic. Not many of us staying over but most of the girls stay up late to catch up with each other.

It's a great time to catch up with everyone from the science class to art class. Some of them i haven't seen ever since we left school. We were so noisy swapping stories and laughing so loud till the guest sleeping in the room beneath our floor got fad up and shouted from the balcony asking us to tone down.. It was fun reminiscing the old times, which brings back lots of memory.

Thanks to "the ones" that organized this. Hope we will have another gathering like this in future with more people attend. Cheers!

Drama marathon

I've been staying up very late almost every nite. Today i can't even get up to work. So sleepy and tired. What i did staying up so late? Drama marathon la............ It's drama fever again... So many nice drama........ Lately i don buy dvd to watch anymore...i found a few websites that can watch online... But sometimes really "tl" the loading damn slow lo...It will only speed up late at night...that is why i gotto stay up so late to watch the drama...... Now i been chasing 2 Taiwan Idol Drama:Fated to Love You- has a very good story line. I am not watching this because of the actor ok... The actor look jus like my friend so i am not interested.

Another one is:

Hot Shot- This drama is about basketball. And i watch this one because of the actor la... my beloved "Xiao Chu". Other than Xiao Chu, Jerry Yan and Wu Chun oso very handsome la... This movie a bit exaggerate but quite funny...most important is got handsome guy...

The last one was a Hong Kong drama: Moonlight Renosance

This is a superb drama suitable for all age. With good story line and oso a few handsome actors.......akakaka... I like Bosco..

I usually watch it from the english site. A lot ppl recommend me tudou.com but i received an error message when trying to watch... not sure what's the message. Usually will watch from YouTube but some drama like Hot Shot and Moonlight Renosance, Youtube does not allow the user to upload, they will suspend those account with these 2 dramas. So i watch these 2 drama from www.fulldrama-free.com but this site sometimes load damn slow... What to do wanna watch free drama have to wait lo...........

Household Chores I hate

Back in high school before we hired the maid. Me and my sister took turns to doing household chores. Sweeping and mopping the floor and laundry we have to do it daily. Whereas cleaning the toilet and wiping the windows 's glass we do it weekly. I will clean the windows and my sister will clean the toilet. I don like to clean toilet this is one of the household chore i hate. I oso hate to clean the gate's grill << we do this annually before the Chinese New Year. Eventhough now we had maid, but there's still one chore i need to do it myself, that is cleaning the fish tank. Previously i had very small tank w/o filter hubby say it such a hassle to keep changing the water every two days. So he change to a bigger tank for me with filter.But the bigger tank was heavy, i couldn't carry it, so i told hubby he gotto help me clean it since he is the one ask me to rear the fishes in my house. At first he was very hardworking, he change the water and clean the filter every week and he clean the whole tank every 2 weeks. Slowly he is getting lazy, sometimes i had to clean it myself, but if the maid was not busy i will ask her to help la cos i don enjoy cleaning this big tank anymore to much work........

080808 - Girls Day Out

A lot may be staying at home watching the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic 2008, i watch the beginning and i nearly fall asleep..lol.... Not interested in this kind of stuff. My friend say should make 080808 a memorable day and we ended go clubbing.

It's has been 3-4 years since i last club.. Jus don feel like clubbing ever since i quit drinking. But make it exceptional on the day... drink little bit. We went to Mois. It's my first time to Mois. My friend suggested that we ordered Bacardi Apple...

Taste jus like sparkling apple juice with the Sprite. Nice! Since it is sweet you can drink a lot. But I have to limit...i only drink one glass.. So cannot Go high and enjoy to the max~~ Sien!

Other than drinking, dancing what else we did? Of cos must camwhore la cos very rare we hang out together. There was photographer in the club too. Walking around taking pictures, he sees us so gien take photos he oso came to our table to snap a few for us.

The gang reunited!

After 9 years we reunited once again. This is my gang back in high school. There are 3 missing though. But it have been ages since we last gather like this. And its hard to gather everyone ever since we left school... and a few did not stay in Penang anymore.. Hope the next time we reunite, no one is missing again.......

Presenting the Taiwan Most Popular Artist - Show Lo

I was shocked when i saw the news in the Show Lo's International English Forum. The time where we could still see the voting results Jolin was ahead a few percent. No matter how frequent we voted Show's percentage never seem to rise. Some fans even wanna give up voting. But dunno when they stop displaying the results anymore, wanna keep the fans suspense. Well, i certainly think they should do that from the beginning. Anyway all this are not important anymore cos he finally won. He promise an english speech if he won, and he kept his promise and he even express his love for his Malaysian Fans in Bahasa Melayu. This award was his birthday present from all his fans. I am glad that i am one of the contributor for this award........ Way to go Show!

Another Hong Kong veteran make it to Hollywood

He is Anthony Wong Chau Sang featuring the latest blockbuster The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. I didn't read about The Mummy review so i didn't knew that he was one of the villains in this movie. And i can't recall seeing him in the trailer. He is a great actor. I still remember he won himself 2 awards in the movie Initial D where his role were mostly drunk and sleeping. How many ppl can do that? wakakaka...

Although his role in the mummy was not a big role but at least we get to see him from the beginning till the end of movie. Unlike Edison Chen in the Dark Knight. Did you guys realize he was in that movie? They didn't even show half of his face...I think they only show quarter of his face... Actually i didn't knew it was him...but i can recognize his voice. I told hubby it was him but hubby tot i was just guessing bah! When finish watching the movie none of hubby's friend realize he was in the movie. Then i tot maybe there's someone else sound like him. But later i found out that i was right it was him........

Ok.. back to the movie The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon emperor. Erm... i feel the movie was so-so only...I think i prefer the previous Mummy. I saw a review about this movie they describe this movie as a knock-off for Indiana Jones... Nah...I still prefer Indiana Jones the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

As for Anthony i was checking out his Filmography in wikipedia, minus the year of 1985 and 1989.... His annual contribution were at least 3 movies per year. But this year only one movie... Maybe his payout for this Hollywood blockbuster equal to 3 movies in the Hong Kong entertainment.......
